Bed Sore Cure

A bed sore is something that is dreaded by the elderly, diabetics and people with spinal cord injuries. These sores are also referred to as pressure sores or wounds. The cause is usually a result of any one of a number of things. Poor circulation is the common ingredient in everyone that gets a bed sore. Add to that a wrinkle in the bedding, laying in one position too long, muscle spasms pulling the foot part way out of a shoe, pressure against a bed frame, wheelchair or another surface too long and other otherwise innocent situations and you have a recipe for a bed sore.

There is no single bed sore treatment or bed sore cure that works for everyone and every bed sore.

This bed sore treatment can be very messy and like most bed sore treatments it may take months to heal the wound.

Clean the bed sore with saline solution. (Contact lens cleaner is about the same as saline solution and it is a lot cheaper.) Cleaning out the bed sore every day is vital.

Pack the wound (bed sore) with regular cane sugar then cover the wound with Telfa to seal the sugar in and air out. Note: The sugar crystals provide your body with nutrients it needs to create new cell growth and bacteria cannot grow in this environment. The sugar must be to be cleaned out and replaced each day to ensure your body has fresh nutrients and the environment remains hostile to bacteria.

It is important to keep pressure off the bed sore as much as possible so no further damage is done.

Depending on its size, the wound may take months to heal.

Organic honey can be used instead of pure cane sugar if the bed sore is shallow enough.

You and your care giver know your body best and it is up to you and your health care professional to determine the best treatment plan for your bed sore.

Natural Pressure Sore Treatment

Ingredients:

Raw Honey

Brown Sugar

Sterile Gauze Saline Solution

Instructions:

Clean the pressure sore with saline solution and sterile gauze then pat it dry. Do NOT rub it dry. Apply a thin layer of honey over the area and sprinkle brown sugar on it then cover with sterile gauze and leave it until the next day. When the gauze is pulled off, it will pull away dead skin too which is good. Pressure sores must be clean and free of dead skin before they can start to heal. By repeating this process every day, you are cleaning the wound, applying a natural antibiotic in the raw honey and adding food for the body to use to make new cells. Bacteria cannot live in all the sweetness provided by the sugar and honey so you are preventing bacterial growth in the wound. This remedy may take several months or even more than a year to heal the wound. Keep pressure off the wounded area as much as possible and stay consistent in your treatment and you will see the results you desire.
